5 Songs for the Pardot Admin’s Pre-Dreamforce Playlist

5 Songs for the Pardot Admin’s Pre-Dreamforce Playlist

min. reading

I’m seriously dying of premptive FOMO knowing that there are so many amazing things cooking for Dreamforce.  Like PAW-dot?  That is just too perfect.

The only thing that can soothe my angsty soul: some awesome jams.

Every year, there are a handful of songs that I mentally link to Salesforce (like Black Eyed Peas? So DF11.)  Their events team does an absolutely phenomenal job of picking songs that just make you want to ride off into the cloud and build something awesome. I don’t know whose job it is to come up with this – but dude, you’re killing it, keep doing your thing.

The jams to get your head in the Salesforce game

As I punch out work at my desk, these are the vaguely Salesforce-related pump up songs I have on repeat:

1. Imagine Dragons – Thunder

This could easily be the theme song to the whole party this year.  The lyrics are so appropriate.  Too easy, though?

2. Taylor Swift – Are You Ready for It?

With releases 3X a year, Salesforce and Pardot admins have to live in a state of constant readiness for change.  T-Swift knows how we feel.

3. Dirty Heads – Vacation

An anthem for people who love what they do, and do what they love.

 4. Lady Gaga – Million Reasons

“You’re giving me a million reasons to let you go… but baby I just need one good one to stay.”

Girl, THANK YOU for writing a song about Lightning Migration.  I have so many clients I’m dying to bring into the light, but it just takes ONE REASON to keep them clinging to Classic.

Like a Recycle Bin.  Or a functional Send to Pardot button.

5. Betty Who – Mama Say

So I don’t actually have a Salesforce analogy for this one, YouTube just suggested it to me and I like it.

Also, the moves in this video are remarkably similar to the business casual version of my happy dance.

What is your Dreamforce readiness routine?

What else are you doing during the final days on the road to Dreamforce?  How are you preparing for the big event?  And if like me you’re missing out this year, how are you handling the FOMO?

Let’s hear it in the comments!
